Expert Health Advice

Our pharmacist and trained assistants are available for advice on all medicines and minor ailments, in private if required. Whether you have questions about a new medication, are unsure about over-the-counter treatments, or simply want guidance on improving your health, we’re here to help.

Self-Care Guidance

  • How to manage common ailments such as coughs, colds, and hay fever
  • Advice on stopping smoking and nicotine replacement therapy
  • Healthy eating and dietary advice
  • Exercise and physical activity guidance
  • Managing long-term conditions
  • Seasonal health advice (sun safety, winter wellness)

Advice on Alcohol Consumption

Realising you have a problem with alcohol is the first big step to getting help. You may need support if you often feel the need to have a drink, get into trouble because of your drinking, other people have expressed concerns, or you think your drinking is causing problems.

Our Pharmacist can advise you on the longer-term support available in your area, including self-help and mutual aid groups such as AA or SMART Recovery groups.

Private Consultation Room

We offer a private consultation room where you can discuss personal or sensitive health issues in complete confidence. Simply ask at the counter.

Signposting to Other Services

If we cannot provide a particular service, advice, or treatment ourselves, we will ensure you are appropriately directed to other healthcare and social services. Our team can provide contact details for GPs, hospitals, mental health services, social care, and support organisations in the area.

Disposal of Unwanted Medicines

Don’t bin or flush out-of-date or unwanted medicines. Bring them to us for safe, free disposal. This protects the environment and prevents chemicals from entering soil and drinking water.
